As part of our ongoing coverage for the lead up to Bestival this summer, we’re very excited to announce a brand new dance area named The Port. As part of our tenth birthday celebrations, the Port will be a celebration of all things dance, suitably headlined by a trio of heavyweights, Richie Hawtin, Carl Cox and Annie Mac Presents. As well as this, we can also bring you some new nautical additions; Knife Party, DJ EZ, Toddla T Sound and more will be gracing the Port’s trusty decks. Bestival HQ have been busy working on how to mark a decade of Bestival’s passing and have come up with our most ambitious and largest project onsite since we began. The Port is a landlocked harbour with HMS Bestival as its centrepiece surrounded by a pier, nautical sideshows and all the action of a bustling port…in a festival! Taking a little time out from reaching for the lasers Rob da Bank says: “I’m probably more excited about this new stage for Bestival than anything else in the last decade of creating fun and mental spaces for people to party on.
